Bringing architecture to life through our simple effective ethos listen, understand, create. At Lightwave, we assume that innovative design solutions are a given and have a substantial focus on how our services are structured and delivered. Our key positioning statement is listened, understand, create. To us, these three considerations produce all our team members with a framework to approach design and problem solving tasks. The importance of stepping back and accepting the correct context from a client, investor and the users point of view allows design solutions to get to the core of the issue: the identification and resolution of the project program. Lightwave has particular experience in master planning, supported living, education, multiresidential housing resorts and factory built housing and we have commitment to sustainable development and quality. Lightwave has a desire to create built environments of distinction. Our aim is to set the standard in the quality of the urban environment and lifestyle that is within our grasp. We believe that innovative architecture stimulates consciousness and increases awareness.
Lightwave has particular experience in master planning, supported living, education, multiresidential housing resorts and factory built housing. A layering of facilities from community services through to retail and conference facilities. A modular housing product for an expanding mining community. A higher quality product than what was locally available. Providing overhead and beyond the requirements. This multipurpose intricate includes hall space, multiple kitchen canteen areas with meeting cafe style rooms that spill into important covered outer areas. Creating a series of active edges that integrate into the adjoining areas, the building provides an extension that enhances the existing school facilities while adding to the school’s capability of providing state of the art teaching and performance spaces. The Enterprise center is a healthy thought out building which serves the school’s requirements whilst providing quality spaces for community use. The master plan provided a layering of facilities from community services off the main road (medical center and kid care) through to retail and conference facilities. The concise was to integrate the new design and concept into the existing stage 1 and 2 single smooth traditional’ houses. The project is located on a steep site and required some innovative solutions to provide an efficient circulation system both for residents and operators. The coffee shop is themed with historical story boards that give residents reminders of the early twentieth century events and local built environment. When we approached the aesthetic and functional design elements, we created a space that looks and feels more like a hotel and less like hospital or nursing home. The project incorporates many surplus new design innovations as a response to the ongoing development of the group’s innovative aged concern model. Conscientious collaboration in the design stages was undertaken in establishing maintenance costs of the timber within the project and including this within the projects body corporate costs and sinking fund. Each unit maximizes the northern aspect, with the main living space running through the center of the plan and opening up again to a inferior living space on the south east. Fronting a main road and backing onto a creek, the master planning for this site drives the local planning for coming development and when designing, we took a community f
